Digital Intimacy 2017
Dolls and necklaces
Made from leather and thread.
Supervised by Darja Popolitova.
I thought of intimacy as something brutal, as cutting a person out of its context. Torn apart, from it's fragmenting one searches for a new whole. This intimate fragility is at the same time repulsive and attractive.
Artificial intelligence and singularity are not anymore just fiction. Human texture maps from 3D modeling programs were printed on animal skin and sewn together in an analog way, creating an eerie portrayal of digital intimacy.
