Profile
Sille Luiga also known as Sile Luik was born in Haapsalu, Estonia in 1994.
As an artist, she is interested in what is ambivalent and absurd. Sile Luik often uses ordinary, sometimes what are considered to be banal, materials for creating conceptually loaded modern jewelry. She believes that there is a gap between our body and mind as well as between our mind and the reality of the world. Art can be a bridge to overcome these gaps.
When in contact with contemporary jewelry and objects one combines many different senses. This creates a space for unique feelings and experiences to happen.
"I always create emotionally and I try to express my ideas honestly using materials and techniques chosen because of the concept of the piece. I enjoy what I do!" - Sille
